scalemodelworld Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I started building models when I was a kid, and this car was always my "Holy Grail". Now that I'm back into modelling, I got my hands a kit and wanted to make it something special, so I put together a little circuit with some LEDs to light up the headlights and tail lights. I was able to cut out the trunk and hide a 9v battery in there to power it all. Sadly, there's no on/off switch - you just plug in the battery and away she goes!
TooOld Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Pretty cool looking ! Love the blue lights .
realgone58 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Very cool idea! Another thing I noticed about these kits is the trim that goes below the trunklid (joins the two smaller ends by the tail light bezels) is not included in the kit. I BMF'd mine to join the two ends.
PowerPlant Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Amazing! The scariest moments in the movie are when she switches her lights on.
slusher Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Cool build the leds are a real nice touch..nice work...
scalemodelworld Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Did you get my PM??? Yep - fixed it right away

Can't believe I didn't notice that in my ref pics. I just checked again and you're right. I think I'll need to rectify that. I also haven't attached the license plate yet, since the one in the kit doesn't have Christine's plate, so I need to find some time to make my own.
azers Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Theres a guy on ebay that sells reproductions of christines plate. There are six to a sheet goes under jim 16 and the sheet is 3.99 i believe. I ordered a few things from him and they are nice.
