JoeBrown Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) so this is my first post here. ive been building models since i was like 6 but they were straight out of the box. this is my first attempt with styrene so instead of starting with something easy, ill be building a whole body kit and extras. crazyrichard Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 cool kit !! i just saw one similair (not the same) finished by someone on a dutch forum.. i always loved these ae86's
JoeBrown Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 omg i know i wish i had a real one! but i do have a supra! lol
Zarana-X Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Nice start, Aoshima does not dissapoint. I kick myself for not gettign this from my LHS when they had it marked down to $12.
JoeBrown Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 i payed $35 shipped for it! $12 is a hell of a deal!
TOYCARTEC Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I wish I still had my 1:1 1985 Corolla GTS Coupe. It would fly for a 4 cylinder.
JoeBrown Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 ok update! since this is a hatchi and the interior tub that came with it didnt have any hatch area details i figured i would add some! so i cut out the back seats. and btw i love jdm and i love drift cars so this car is gonna be like a car from formulaD/d1gp
Modelbuilder Mark Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Nice work so far, I like the idea of giving the back area the look of the seat down.
JoeBrown Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 thank you! this is my first time working with styrene and i really like it!
JoeBrown Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 i finally got some work done on this since im still burned out from working on my 1:1 supra. and i bought my next project!
LAone Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I dig it man. Got some good things going. 86 owner approved. Just some advice for them rear seats. This version doesn't have a "T" shape when you pull the seats down. It's just a square shape with a seam on the middle as they are a left and right side. If you want some great reference pics go to www.club4ag.com there's a section where people post their builds of their cars.

JoeBrown Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 does anyone where or if anyone is making a resin 2jz?
mademan Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Looking good! I just bought this kit, and the "notch back" kit and am goind to bash them into a full detail notch.
ll Brandon ll Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Check out BNA models or The Parts Box. They have a resin 2JZ, 13B rotary, and the SR20... all popular AE86 swaps.
