crazyrichard Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) hi all this build was based on the dan fink's speed wagon , since i already build that kit ounce and got this one with a buy of several kits at ounce i decided to really go all out .. i did not start with a real set plan . the kit : not finished in this picture but i love the picture so ... after the clear coat on the wood was dry and the end pictures from today , i have not done any wiring yet , that will have to waight i dont have the correct wires .. some self made / added stuff : altered the stock headers and gave them bend pipes added carbs on the block and made a scoop out of an old truck light steering arm from the cabine the radiator brace completely build the wooden body from scratch (first time) i loved this so much i will def. make more real wood woodys in the future , i already have some cool plans for a full roof woody Edited January 5, 2013 by crazyrichard
carrucha Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Nice work. The body color goes well with the wood.
crazyrichard Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) thnx btw the blue really shines irl , but that only visible on indoor pictures with artificial lighting all the pics above where made outside on a piece of canvas on this early in the build picture it really shows , i will make some better shots later on even the chassis really shines with the right lightfall the bunny decal under the clear coat Edited January 5, 2013 by crazyrichard
Albie D Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Awesome to see this done, and that first pic is epic!
TooOld Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 It turned out really nice . And that color looks great with the wood !!
crazyrichard Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) the end pictures where shot with grey skyes , today i woke up and saw the sun shining and blue skyes ... so i took some better shots where the colors are more alive in and now the exhaust is there as reference you can see that the body really shines and does reflect (something that doesnt show on most pics) Edited January 6, 2013 by crazyrichard
