mmdm4 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Just picked up the reissue of Connie Kalittas Bounty Hunter Mustang and it's missing the metal axle. Went back to the shop and we opened another kit and it was missing from that one also. When I contacted Round 2 models their reply was that it should be in the bag with the tires, well my tire bag is still sealed and it contains 2 slick, 2 small front tires and the windshield.
Paul S Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Go back to the hobby shop and get a piece of piano wire that will work.
iBorg Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 The windshield is WITH the tires? Unprotected? You've got to be kidding me.
mmdm4 Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Paul, I got a piece of piano wire but i had to rework the 2 side pcs. on the rear end so they would fit, and the windshield is in with the tires, but the bag is sort of sectioned off so they can't touch each other.
iBorg Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 That sounds better......I've seen too many kits ruined by the tires damaging the windshield. Mike
oldscool Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Does this kit have the bone stock Mustang body like most of the old MPC funny cars?
kitswapper Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 No it's the same bad modified body that was in the blue max and hot rod kits from years ago it's not stock but not a kirby buttera body as it should be
1972coronet Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Wayne Kramer (Guitarist , MC5 ) got the name for his first band from Connie Kalittas' dragster : Bounty Hunters !
