Sixties Sam Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Thanks, everyone for the nice compliments. I really appreciate them, especially the ones on my foil work. I'm new to the BMF world. This Ford is only about the fifth model I've ever foiled - always used silver paint before. Thanks again! Sam
rmvw guy Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Nice job Sam! It really looks right in that color. The interior decals look just right too.
THarrison351 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Great looking model. I just picked up one from Hobby Lobby yesterday and love the features of the kit.
ajshot58 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Awesome build!! I'm assuming you scratch-built the skirts.... tell us how you did them? I'm building a '58 GMC extended cab pickup, and I want to make skirts for it.....
Sixties Sam Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Anthony, the skirts are from an old AMT 57 Ford from the 1960's. I shortened them by about 1/4". Sam
High octane Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Nice build on that Ford and I really like your garage also.
Pete L. Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Very nicely well done... a real eye catcher with great color choice, inspirational !!!
charlie8575 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 That looks good, Sam. Who makes an acrylic paint marker? I'm definitely interested in trying that for WWWs and possibly narrow-whites, too. Charlie Larkin
Sixties Sam Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 Charlie, The marker is called a "Painters" opaque marker made by Elmer's, the white glue people. It doesn't actually say it's acrylic on the marker. I assumed it was, since Elmer's glue products are all water based. I think I got it at Walmart. Sam
vaughn Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Really like this one Sam. Is'nt this one of Revells newest releases ? Looks great !!
vintagedragfan Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 nice build Sam, I wish my garage was that clean!!
