lotno249 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Here's another model I got done recently. It is called Escape Artist and is a 1961 Ford Galaxie from AMT> Has chains andhomemade decals. Also on the driver's side is the big key to get in the car in case you lack the magician's skill to get inside. A Houdini fan's delight with nice silver and nickel paint. Thanks for looking, DJ
Danno Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Can I say it? The point escapes me. There. I said it.
Albie D Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Man, where do you draw your inspiration from? I'm intrigued. You really don't mind breaking a few of the "unspoken" rules of car building in your builds. Crazy, unexpected, polarizing stuff. I think its cool. I dont understand it, but props to you!
lotno249 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 I get an idea and I run with it. I don't worry about what cars are "supposed" to have or not have. It is fun and relaxing to let the imagination run wild. Not everyone's cup of tea, of course, but that is ok. We all have fun in our own way with our own models. Who is to say what is good or bad for one person. It's about the adventure and the ride. Vehicles need to be like this in real life if you ask me. Thanks for the comments and for looking. It's great that people take part of their time and look at my posts and comment on them. I really appreciate it and thank goodness that there are forums like this where we all can share our models. Keep modelling, DJ

Kaleb Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I guess that's one reason we have "donks" This car is definitely a switch, great job on it too.
lotno249 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Thanks for the kind words and for looking, DJ
drunknmunky Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I don't understand them but I love to see them. As others have said, every time you post something new, I click on it with no idea what to expect. You certainly have some of the most creative builds I've ever seen. Kudos to you for having no fear designing and posting some of the craziest cars ever built. Keep up the awesome work and keep doing whatever it is you do to stay so creative!
surfjunke Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 What a really neat idea/concept. I like what you did. Very unique & well done. Keep thinking outside the box.
rmvw guy Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Great idea!!! It seems like he could escape through the window. No, I get it, very cool. Edited January 19, 2013 by rmvw guy
lotno249 Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 Thanks for the kind words. I love building them and sharing the builds with everyone. DJ
gtx6970 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 My thoughts exactly. I may not comment in every thread, but I at least ck most if not all of them out at one time or another. The world would be kinda boring if we all liked the same thing. Some of these are not my kind of build . But I like that you think outside the box,,,,,,Kudos to the op . Great words. The same could be said of life in general. Keep posting your crazy cars, its fun to open the thread having no idea what lies on the next page!
TFchronos Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 That's really cool! I enjoy seeing stuff like this, keep it up!
cooltoys1 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 i dig it and i understand. I get inspired by people as well as other builds, so this is cool. I once did a Trabant with custom band member decals when i was inspired by the band U2.
