codie27 Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 Thanks, i was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I'm not sure what number the kit was as i no longer have the box,but it wasn't a great kit which is why I ended up building it with so many mods lol
Craig Irwin Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Thats stunning Codie I love it What number kit is it I WANT ONE NOW I have one I'd trade for ??, PM Me.
bbowser Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 That is very nice. The problems with that kit have been well documented, your mods are very tasteful and it came out very cool. Great job!
surfjunke Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 The Cad came out awesome! Is that the old multi piece body from the 1950's? You really turned a pretty crude kit into a thing of beauty. Love it!
lotno249 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Great looking stuff. Love all the stuff that opens. Great job. DJ
codie27 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Thanks for the kind words guys.....yes, it is the old multi piece body. far from being a great kit but still a good subject to work with.
Antikainen Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Quite nice and detailed kustom car model from a simple kit with multipiece body, characteristic body proportions and poor overall detail. I also have that kit. At first I thought to use it as a parts donor for flintstone resin body ( similar stock cadillac 4D body that plastic kit has, but with chezoom top ). After seeing your model I started wondering if that one piece resin body could be used with chopped plastic kit top.... Thanks for sharing great model and for new idea.
