Built shortly after re-issue came out. Alway's wanted one in my case. Automotive urethane base/ PPG clear. Can't recall what color I started with, but added extra pearl and some HOK tangerine candy intensifier to base coat. Fiddly little thing, got some superglue gassing frost on some of the chrome, but I don't care. Enjoy

That turned out nice. I started one a long time ago, got as far as finishing the chassis and then put it away. I just got tired of this kit. Maybe it's all those tiny chrome-plated pieces that needed all that scraping and fussing with...it's sort of an annoying kit to me, for some reason. But yours looks great!

CONGRATULATIONS - you have wrought success from a kit that has introduced the concept of agonizing failure to countless teenaged boys since the sixties!!! B):P Wonderful job on finessing a difficult to nigh-unto impossible to build little cuss!!

I'm not familiar with this model but nevertheless..............THAT IS NICE!! :P

Double nice is the fact that the kit was so fiddly-fidgety! That in of itself should give you great satisfaction of conquering the beast! B)

Bob Tindles '32 never looked better..its not for the impatient builder type of kit...I have a few with the 1pc nose assy, and a front fendered chopped deuce from the street demons series that still has the 3 pc hood assy...looking at yours the 1 piece looks better , nice job molding in the grille .

Your build looks grate! I have one of the reissued kits, But so far have not been brave enough to tackle it.

Thanks for the kind words. The figure is a Jimmy Flintstone prepainted I think. Bill "maverick"Golden maybe? He's supposed to be flashing the peace sign, but he lost his middle finger somewhere. In my haste to get to bed while posting I forgot to mention this. The re-issue came with a resin one piece hood with sides that fit like......well you know. I used the hood and hoodsides from an older 32 roadster, it was yellow and came with wire wheels (1/24 Revell maybe), smoothed the louvers, I think the grille shell came with the Crate. Well I glued it into a one piece and made it fit. Worked pretty good except I forgot to make the holes in the hoodside, like the original, for the velocity stacks to breathe. Oh well, it doesn't run anyway ;)

Good thing it wasn't the index finger that fell off! :)
