modelmarknz Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Here's my latest build, Its a replica of this superstock tank from Palmy North here in New Zealand, I managed to photo and measure the whole car over the Christmas break, and have been building hard out since, so far spent over 100+ hours on it. Most of it is scatch-built from plastic card and strips , apart from the motor ,gearbox and tyres ,rims are all from a Revell nascar kit.. This is the real car.. The madness begins.............
Talbot90 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Awesome build mate..I remember the original 'Tank" from the original Baypark days!! Thanks for the memories :-) Ian
cobraman Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 What the hell ? I never saw such a thing. It's pretty cool. They race these ? It looks like a bumper car.
crazyrichard Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 awsome job , the boxy design makes for easyer scratching but still you need to get it all right and get dimensions right .. and yours look great .. awsome job !
JM485 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, that is awesome! What is the goal with that type of racing, how do you win?
cobraman Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 That was very fun to watch. That is some real "get the hell out of my way" racing. Thanks for posting.
antiliers Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Is that basically a blocking game? Or what?
modelmarknz Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) The video that Brett put up is of what we called Teams racing .There are 2 teams of 4 cars on the track at one time and its raced over 10 laps .1st car to do 10 laps wins Normally you have 2 cars racing and the other 2 cars block.. We also flag race too . which is most of the time as teams racing very hard on the cars and drivers.. http://youtu.be/DvhCmUcdkhk Edited February 7, 2013 by modelmarknz
