Hillbilly Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I been building on this I was planing on using this Mack to pull the trailer but it looks kinda small in front of it so i`m not sure any more, what do you think??? I tried this one in front and it looked better i think, i`m not sure. What do you think, shall i go for the Mack or build a coe truck or another conventional??
Chris guthro Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Go with the cabover! That mack needs a lowboy and a dozer behind it haha. Nice builds!
Guest Johnny Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Go with the cabover! That mack needs a lowboy and a dozer behind it haha. Nice builds! Or a dump trailer. Back when I was a kid all the bull racks around here were being pulled with cabovers. Mostly Internationals or Petes with a few KW 123's scattered in.
jacobus Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 i am go for the coe its a nice combo the guys are right the mack for a lowboy or a dumper jacobus
kilrathy10 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I'm with everyone else....Cabover looks good with that trailer...
Mr mopar Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 That trailer is my fav ,it looks so good with the cabover. sure would be nice if some model company make a new one.
Hillbilly Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 OK looks like everybody have the same taste as me Then all i have to do is find me another cab over
Jim B Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Maybe these will give you some ideas. With GMC Astro/95: With Chevrolet Titan/90: Ok, so those are sort of the same truck! It'll look good behind whatever you decided to put in front of it. Maybe the Peterbilt 352.
uncle potts Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Like everyone else I say go with the cabover. In the days that this rig was on the road they were almost always pulled by cabovers. I agree a new one would be nice, but i don't see it happening.
freightshaker Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I'd go with a kw. Stretched out. Conventional or cabover works but Up my way the Spencer's pull cattle in old w900a's. They run sharp units.
Hillbilly Posted February 22, 2013 Author Posted February 22, 2013 Thanks for all the feedback. Nice Titan and Astro Jim Awsome KW Freghtshaker it`s just one thing wrong with it It`s not mine Well i have decided it`s going to be a Kenworth coe for this trailer.
uncle potts Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I'd go with a kw. Stretched out. Conventional or cabover works but Up my way the Spencer's pull cattle in old w900a's. They run sharp units. Everyone uses conventionals today, but back in the day of the 40' trailer, represented by the trailer Gard built, were almost always pulled by cabovers.
Jim B Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Thanks, Gard. A KW COE would be very "period correct" for the Wilson trailer.
redneckrodder Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 an aerodyne kw coe would look sweet in front of that
