Kris Morgan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Thank you Jeff for posting this. This kit was done using the original master, not a resin kit of the AAM Woody. Many thanks go out to Tom Jackson for first offering his resin AAM kit. In the end we ended up with the actual master in our shop and used it. If anyone has questions please feel free to PM me.
Casey Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 IIRC the AAM transkit used the AMT '40 Coupe as the base model. Does this conversion also use the same base kit, or are the Revell '90s tool '40 Ford coupe and convertible kits used as the base kits?
Kris Morgan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 The AMT would be the donor. Have not tried the Revell kit to see if the parts match up.
charlie8575 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Looks great, Chris. This will be a great addition to any shelf, including mine once I have a little extra scratch. Charlie Larkin
peter31a Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Oh, Kris! I know where some of my NNL East money will be going!
Tom Jackson Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 You will need the Amt 40 Ford for the hood. Revells chassis fits pretty nice.
Kris Morgan Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Thank you Tom. Peter,, Looking forward to seeing ya a East.
SoCalCarCulture Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 There is some AAM stuff being redone. Motor City Resin Casters does the International bread truck, Missing Link does the 78 LTD and I just started offering the 40 Ford Woody. Hopefully you corrected the seam down the middle of the top on the '40 Woodie!
Kris Morgan Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Hopefully you corrected the seam down the middle of the top on the '40 Woodie! The only issue with the master when I got it was the tape used to simulate the top. It was peeing. I removed it and used a textured paint rather than tape. I could not find good pice to show the correct seem. I left it without the seem and figure it is something easy for the builder to scribe in if they wish.
ScaleSpeedShop Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 When will these kits be ready to order? I have been looking for one for a long time.

Thanks, that would be correct without the seam down the middle - just holler if you need Woodie reference pics.
