smellyfatdude Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Another outing for that six banger from the AMT ' 60 Fleetside kit. The idea was to do a Bel Air, with as low level of trim as possible. So all it got to have was the molded in rocker trim, and bumper guards for options. The Firestone blackwalls came from one of my old AMT kits. I added plug wires and heater hoses, and painted it Tropical Turquoise. The interior is turquoise/dark green. I stole the photo etched pieces from yet another AMT Pro Shop kit.
Sixties Sam Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Great looking 57! The six is a nice touch. It's interesting how the lighting in the photos makes it look like two different colors, blue and green. Nice work! Sam
lambrakos Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Great work!! I think have have captured the theme ''an average Joe's 57 chevy'' 100%! Love your plain Jane look. She looks like she just rolled off of a Detroit assembly line.
DumpyDan Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Alright, this is so clean. Do me a favor stay away from Ontario Contests this year, cause you would clean up. Beautilful!
smellyfatdude Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 Hey, thanks for the feedback on the plain jane Bel Air. Here's a couple of outside shots, a few with it's One Fifty linemate.
