Ok I have these carbs but I want to run fuel lines. In the pictures I've found it looks like the fuel inlet is on the linkage side. I thought fuel lines were always on the opposite side, does it matter? Here are a few pictures, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The shot of the 4-barrel Holley you found (good job...it does appear to be close to the choked-primary, vacuum-secondary version as your model carbs depict) clearly shows the fuel inlet lines on the same side as the linkage. It is fine to have both on the same side in 1:1 (the carb doesn't know) as long as there are no clearance or interference problems. Different carbs are designed differently, so doing exactly what you've done (researching for photos of a 1:1) is the thing to do if you want to be accurate.

Same basic carb with the fuel inlets on the other side...

If the fuel inlets are put on the other side they have to clear the vacuum diaphragm for the secondaries and the automatic choke actuator assembly...

Based on the shots of your model carbs and the ones above of the real carbs, it would be okay to put the fuel inlets on either side you want.

Ok cool. Thanks so much for the info, I'm not all that knowledgeable when it comes to the specifics of how the stuff actually works so your reply is very much appreciated. Once I get some lines run ill post another pic. Thanks again :)
