Porscheman Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Thank god I'm out of Maroon paint. I like the color but 10 maroon models get old. The red walls are resin, but not the soft tires of today. These were like rocks and getting mount them on the AMT wheels, got me 11 stitches. But the crazy glue stopped the bleeding while I finished mounting them and before going to the hospital. A modeller never stops a project. This was a painful build, but worth it.Al

Al Now that's commitment! Or possibly a sign of needing to be committed....? Seriously, Al, great job on this. Charlie Larkin
Sixties Sam Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Great looking Chevy! Sorry to hear about the stitches. I've used a heat gun to soften up some hard tires. A few seconds of heat on the tire, then quickly slip the wheel in before the tire cools. Sam Edited April 18, 2013 by Sixties Sam
