kilrathy10 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Oh, SWEET!!!! Where did you get those???????Nice....I like those....
Mike77 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 They look shorter and wider than super singles but they'll do the trick. Can you elaborate on your Ebay purchase of them, are they from an R/C car or truck?
ewaskew Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 (edited) Very nice Edited April 16, 2013 by ewaskew

Mopar - D Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Nice build and set of singles. I picked up a set of 1/25 scale front floatation tires from the same seller that I'm very pleased with them and he has already relisted them on eBay
williamchevelleman1972 Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) HI ebay has the 1/16 tires on ebay listed now for sale Edited April 18, 2013 by williamchevelleman1972
Mike77 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 HI ebay has the 1/16 tires on ebay listed now for sale Thanks again for the info and heads-up William, I won a set last night.
Mike77 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 My 1/16 set arrived today and they're awesome! I did some research and from what I can tell real super single tires have a tread width of about 17". These equate to a tread width of about 20", so it you're a super picky builder and obsess about stuff like that these might be too wide for you. As for my plans, I'll use two of them as-is on a lift axle for my wrecker project, and the other two as front floatation tires. I may narrow them a tad for the front. As far as I know these are the only wide tires made for 1/16 trucks so if you think you might want some I'd recommended getting them while they're available. In addition to the tires themselves being very well made I highly recommend the seller as well. A special thank you to William for bringing these to our attention and providing photos!
Kenny B Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Thanks William I was all excited until I measured my rear fenders. Kenny B
Mike77 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Thanks William I was all excited until I measured my rear fenders. Kenny B What size are your fenders? Mike
Kenny B Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 What size are your fenders? Mike Mike, Oops I 'm just learning to use a ruler. I was thinking 2 1/4" not 1 1/4" as it should be.They will fit but you won't see them it's all fenders. They sure look real nice and will have to have a set for future builds. Kenny B.

Yeah, that's the drawback to using fenders with them. No one will really know you're using super singles unless you point it out.

As far as I'm concerned, that's what the 1:1's should be....They look way better as 20"s.....And I can't wait to get some....Thanks William....
