lapazleo Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Like the detailing on the wheels everybody missed. Super!
Q tip Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 I see you noticed the wheels.I remember back in the early 80's seeing guys paint the insides of the holes to match the truck. showing my age a little bit, but....soon to be showing the trailer for this truck. Its gonna be nice.......thanks Q
Helix Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Impressive John, If that rig was 'Down Under' you could put another axle in to make it a 'Tri-Drive', then you would have the perfect rig to pull a 'Road Train'
Old Albion Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 John, Great job matching the retro with modern style. That really does look impressive.
Kostas Parchas Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Love the eagle decals, eagle looks like in its home. Like the mod on the rear bumper and the madflaps. Kostas.

I had thought about doing one like this but I was thinking of doing it with black on top and the orange down below. I like how you did the headlights as well! Very cool!!!!!!!
ap40rocktruck Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Stunning, a modern day Brougham package. Now to park it nest to a 4300 Brougham. Ap40
mackd Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 John you did a super paint.Honet I find the truck real very ugly.I have a kit that I will climb day cab but I can tell you that the painting will be not as beautiful that holds it. Alain
Q tip Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 the lonestar is really a love hate relationship in the world of trucks. you either think its the coolest thing you have ever seen or its the ugliest thing on the road. never liked the stock headlights they just seem to be completely out of place. that's why I put the singles on. and with the colors, I kind of stayed with the original, just swapped them around. the 1970's to the mid 1980's is when the manufacturers really produced some of the best looking paint jobs hands down. that's what I was after with this truck...............thanks john
keone2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Hi. Outstanding truck. Where did you get the headlights from?
charlie8575 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I like the paint/decal work and the headlights are a nice touch. Great job. Charlie Larkin
weirich1 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Now that's what I call a long, long haul truck.
Heartattaq Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Very nice build, I absolutely love that paint/decal job
