SnakeBite Models Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 Well seems like my model has no interest on here since no one has replied lol. Anyways Ive been busy with work since i started the thread. But since I was layed off yesterday i have more time to build. So i painted it today. Its a purple from WallyWorld. Painted both hoods cause IDK which one i want to use yet lol Painted the Frame to match the body
Modlbldr Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Maybe not many comments cause it was still early in the progress and there have been a few of these on the board lately? Who knows? Nice paint choice though. What are your plans for the build? What are those two large pieces under the hoods? Custom fender skirts? I've got to get me one of these kits someday. Later- Edited April 26, 2013 by Modlbldr
freakshow12 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 It's a good start. What color you thinking for inside? I'm thinking white and keep the white walls on it
Jantrix Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 It's not unusual to not get many (or none) replies when it's in the mock up stage. We get lots of those. Show us some work, like you have, and you'll see more interest, like you did. I'd also like to know where the paint came from and what form it's in. The paint looks real smooth, are you airbrushing? I'd also like to offer you some building suggestions if you are interested. I'll take it to PM if you want.
cobraman Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Sorry to hear you lost your job. It's tough out there right now. Car is looking good. Keep er' goin'.
Eric N. Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 That's a very different color.-In a good way. Chrome reverse w/ wide whites?
DSHWoodworks Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Cool color! My uncle has a jeep that color. Can't wait to see more.
maltsr Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I like the colour Ben, and agree with white interior/whitewalls. Great start, I've built a couple of these myself, it's a great kit

Later- Modlbldr yes your right they are the custom fadeaway fenders, But im not using them as it requires you to mold them into the body, and this is pretty much just a slumpbuster build. So i'm not going to dramatic with it It's not unusual to not get many (or none) replies when it's in the mock up stage. We get lots of those. SnakeBite Models Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 personally i didnt like the look of them fenders. I did mock them on the body but it didnt excite me lol. Oh and as for the paint. I apologize for giving the wrong brand color. The paint i used it Krylon Rich Plum in the rattlecan. More pics tonight!
