Here's a 1/8-scale '63 Corvette Grand Sport I did awhile back using a Monogram 1965 Corvette kit as a base...

That looks great! Where did you get the wheels?

Thanks! I needed a Halibrand-style wheel for the car so I took the centers from the American Racing 200 "Daisy" wheels that came in the Big T kit and reworked the spokes to make them look more like Halibrands, and then put the centers into regular wheel outers. Not perfect but they worked for me.

Thanks! I wish it came like that in kit form, but it's just a heavily modified 1/8-scale Monogram '65 Corvette.

I've seen resin 1/8-scale Halibrands since I did this Vette. I sure wish they were available back then, it would've been a lot easier than making them.

Great Build!

B)

Thanks! I gave up posting anymore pics of my big scale cars. The "1:8 scratch deuce" thread gets bumped to the top every 10 minutes so everything else kinda gets buried right away. hide.gif

Still one of my favorites Mike, I kind of need one that scale, I have a 1/64 diecast, a 1/43 diecast, a 1/25 model, a 1/18 diecast ... I may even have an HO Slot car.
