Ajay Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 This is the recent Aoshima release as opposed to the Tamiya one - OOB except for swapping the kit supplied TE37 rims for GT-C's. The colour is Zero Paints Nissan Magnetic Black although the the pearl doesn't show in the pics as it's cloudy here . Thanks for looking Andy
Brendan Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Andy, Very nice, clean work. You can see some of the pearl in the paint. Very nice choice for that car. How did you like the Zero Paint? I've always wanted to try them out.
Ajay Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Hi Brendan - in my experience the Zero paint are excellent - one of the best paints that I've tried - the base coat dries very quickly (around 15 minutes) to a matt finish & I find their 1 pack clear easier to apply & polish out than some other paints I've used in the past. Thanks for the reply Regards Andy
Mr. Metallic Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 How does this one compare to the Tamiya kit? Nice clean build, btw
Ajay Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 How does this one compare to the Tamiya kit? Nice clean build, btw Thanks Craig I'd say that they're pretty similar - I'm working from memory here as my Tamiya build up is in the loft !The one thing I've found with the few Tamiya kits that I've built is that sometimes their clearence's are a bit tight after painting ending up in chipped paint round head'tailights etc (perhaps it's me applying too much paint !). Cheers Andy
Mike Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Great, clean build. Simple and elegant. There's a REALLY sharp 1:1 in town here that I'm going to copy. I ordered the kit tonight from my LHS.
mikelo Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Nice & clean build. I like that body style. Nice color. Looks like a good kit. I cant say I would have thought about buying that one before. Don't worry, the sun will come out.......oh wait, never mind.
