It works quite well either way. Some like to seal BMF w/clear. I like to apply it after clear, and buff it out to a brilliant shine. Test both ways for yourself to see what works best for you.

I like to clear, polish,foil, then seal the edges of the foil with future applied with a fine brush, any decals can get futured on now.IfI take my time No Globs!!

I like to shine mine also, never really cleared it but I guess is not a bad idea to put clear over it.......

I have recently started clearing over my BMF. I have found that it seals it, and that not clearing over BMF tends to let it get pulled off fairly easily, as in the process of dusting and packing for shows.

In effect, I won't BMF without clearcoating for the most part these days...of cource, I may make an exception depending on the desired results, but if I am doing a full car it will be cleared- even if I didn't plan to clear the rest of the car.

Decals, on the other hand, I NEVER, EVER clear over.
