Kennyboy Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 It is finally done. Thank you to those that have followed the build of this and given praise and encouragement along the way. Now to find something I can display it in......it is rather large
cobraman Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Very nice build. I display mine in an upside down 10 gallon aquarium. Its a bit tall but works good.
Kennyboy Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Is that Kona blue? Yes it is my own mixture to achieve Kona Blue. Base coat was GM Dk Blue Met. with HOK Majik Blue over it followed by 4 coats of clear. Wetsanded and rubbed out. Excellent, how did you end up doing the black? Thanks, used BMF for the masking.
Kennyboy Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Thanks to everyone for the compliments and kind words. Stay tuned in Big Boyz......I started my next project. A 1/12 scale Protar F40 that I have been sitting on for the last 22 years.

Kennyboy Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Who makes this kit? It is the 1/12 scale Revell GT500. I did a lot of work to it. Scratch built the quarter scoops, hood, brake rotors, brake calipers, and fitted the larger wheels/tires from the R/C world
