I've had this model for a while and never know what direction to take it. Till a couple of weeks ago, when i was cleaning up and found a GTO kit with the LSx (lightbulb glowing in my head). Will it work? looks like it will! I painted it a GM color with Duplicolor, (not to for sure the name) I'm going to go with a tan int, and the wheels are from a INITIAL D FD3S Mazda RX7 i think... I may make a STS turbo setup for it. I'm not to for sure on that. I want to keep this a simple yet fun model.

Only picture i got, and it's from a cell phone.

Cool. Skip the turbos-500 HP in a 944 is perfect and balanced. Bet the LS weighs close to the Porsche lump...

Looks great so far! Used to have a 1:1 944 that looked just like your model. Wanted to put an LS swap into it......wife said no, car was sold, and we ended up building a house instead.<_<

I had three 944's .. and a couple 924 ... and I like this. Those 4 bangers never had all the horsepower the car could use. I'm not surprised it fits .. the Porsche engine was at almost a 45 degree angle.

Looking forward to seeing this continue.

Thanks! Didn't expect this many comments so far! In all honesty, i'm not that big on the LS series engines. Even more so in older american cars. I'd much rather see a old big block or small block between the fenderwells. But when it comes to foregin cars, i don't really care lol. Seeing most of them came with boat anchors for a engine anyways. I guess thats why i'm kind of happy with this model, i think to myself (how cool would one of these be in real life!). I do think i'm going to skip out on the STS turbo idea on this.

Now THAT'S something that will be really cool in scale. I wonder, has anyone attempted something like that in 1:1?

They have. When I googled to see what the engine bay of a 944 looked like, there where a few with LSx's in them.

I like the idea. This car is about the size of the Mazda RX7 mk2?

i think it's around the size of an RX7 FC or 2nd gen RX7 what ever you ant to call them, this body here,

Got it done faster then i though t i was going to. The paint cracked in a few spots on it, and since it did. I now recall it did it on another model with this color. So off in the trash with that can... But anyways, i'll post it up in under glass and here are a few of the under side and int. I didn't go into much detail with it, also my skills aren't really up there to make these look real lol. But here you go. And the rear suspension setup is out of a WRX.
