Darren B Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) Gator, i tried to find some really cool gems but in that size everything was way to big , decided to give the nail tech gems a try and even those were way to big, I did find these cool pink do dads i can paint them another color they fit the eyeball perfectly the shiny gem over the right eye (in the bottom pic) is the next size up but seems way to big..... gatorincebu Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Darren, Glad you found something that would work. When I saw the skull shifter. I said .hey that needs eyes!! lol Guess I been watching to much tv??? lolWhat I had envisioned would have required cutting the head in half and creating an eye socket on the inside of the skull. And that would require quite a bit of work. Be Well Gator

Darren B Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 I am resurrecting this build and hope to finish it before I loose interest or have another project get in the way.
Darren B Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 opening up the radiator to make it more realistic just like I did on the Aztec warrior truck....

And I enjoy following the build threads. Be Well GatorGator, thank you, I am hoping on getting this one finished, I just realized that my first post of this build was in 2013, its time to get this one done now, I have decided to drop the long trailer for the '32, but still have the car in the build and still have the little trailer with all the loot in it. That will help speed it up a bit....
Intmd8r Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Well, that answers the question "what ever happen to...."glad to see you take on the build once again. Trying to inspire myself to finish some shelved projects as well - keep up the good work. To much imagination and effort in this one to not finish.

Darren B Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 Radiator for the Egyptian Raider.
Darren B Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 While mocking up the engine this time I notice that clearance at the fire wall is slim to none.... even the exhaust manifold is hitting on the drivers side, has anyone built the AMT '50 chevy truck kit? wondering if its the kit or just my building of the truck?
slusher Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Darren, i built one of these kits so long ago i can't remember. Dr Cranky builds this kit all the time and says it's one of his favorite kits. I would drop him a pm or ask in the model question section. Hope this helps..

Hope this helps..Carl, i can see why its his favorite kit, its a blast to build, so far I have been filing it on the inside of the hump of the fire wall which is giving me a lot more room, the boot for the spark plug wire on that last plug will just be a very tight fit....
