Kaleb Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) I know once I post this I will never finish it lol, but here it is. My first hairspray rust job with some goodies. What we have is the normal 1932 five window coupe. Before we go on, this is a mix between a highboy and coupe. Just the parts I though would go better. I did not have a plan so this is what it ended up being. Hope you enjoy.... Edited June 14, 2013 by Kaleb
Ridge Rider Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I have been shiny in all my builds but want to venture into rusty and crusty. I hope they look as good as that. Thanks for sharing.
DrewCfromSC Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 looks really cool! Great job on the rusting! Id like to try it myelf but not sure where to begin. Is that balsa wood for the roof slats?
PappyD340 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Great job Joshua, I really like the seat detail, looks koool!!
Kaleb Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 Thank you guys for compliments. It is balsa wood. Stained with burnt umber ink. I don't know how I've been building without ink washes lol. The car is also washed with the same. The duct tape is actually masking tape with silver sharpie. The blanket is masking tape as well.
Pat Minarick Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 I like it ! Great job on the seat ,I never thought about just using masking tape .
