progplastic
Just thought I'de try my hand at building a what if model. To the best of my knowledge no 1:1 funnycar was ever made from a 1969 Malibu or Chevelle ( as far as google knows ).. I shortened the chassis on the Monogram Cop-Out Duster funny, I used the 454ci from the Revell '70 Chevelle and the body from the Amt '69 Chevelle... ..now that I look at it, I wish I had added some ground effects and a front chin spoiler..oh well, maybe someday. AZ Boy
Nice build, Jim. The Malibu would've been a great looking body for that era of funnycars. It's too bad that no one tried it.

progplastic
Thanks for all the positive responces.. I think if I build another one I'll use the '69 Camaro funnycar chassis.I'm not real impressed with the Cop-out funnycar

carman1
Very nice, interesting build, I cant believe that no one made a funny car of a 69 Chevelle, I know they did them of a 68 and 69 GTOs, never really looked before !
