Hello folks. This is what I'm hoping is my slumpbuster, i got to a point where i lost interest so much I boxed up all my supplies kits and unfinished builds...anyway, I bought my all time fave car and decided if this didn't break the slump nothin will!! Im tryin to build this as my ideal 57 Kustom and my idea of pulling that off is what id call a factory parts bin special. So far I've modded the grille to fit two 57Corvette grilles, 57 Buick inspired trim, the gauge pod and trim is designed with the 57 Olds in mind. Wheels are also from 57 Corvette...not sure yet what the color will be...thinkin maybe Cyan blue and a heavy metal flake silver roof. Ideas..comments ...criticisms welcome. With the big toothy grill, tunneled headlights, radiused rear wheel wells and the side trim I actually thought it was a 1957 Buick. You are off to a wicked start. I could see this in 1:1 from someone like John D'Agustino or Richard Zocchi

Super idea and great start. This is a must build. (or give up in total, futile defeat, drown your sorrows in a couple Carltons and send to Lunajammer :) )

Looks real nice man.

I hope you can stick with it.

I'm building one now = slump buster, first one in a long time if I can stick with it myself.

So hang with it and keep us posted.

One sixties detail would be to sink the license plate into the trunk lid, and then smooth out the rear bumper. That front end is really cool, as is the side trim.

Hello guys, I got in a fair bit of building time while the forum was down so I can post some updates. Got the interior done and added some extra detail, the door and winder handles are all made from pins. The dash is a 57 Oldsmobile its not an exact replica but it was the best i could do.

Finally I can share some update pics guys. The Slumpbuster idea worked, got two projects finished and two more on the go now. post-5297-0-79345600-1373863421_thumb.jppost-5297-0-72635000-1373863470_thumb.jppost-5297-0-88364200-1373863525_thumb.jp
