caine440 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 This one is done. Only my second build of the year and it kicked my tail for a long time. The body is JF, rear slicks, stacks, and grille are from speed city. I had this body on the shelf for 4 years before I decided to tackle it. The time it took to get it finished taught me from now on all my AWB Mopars are coming from Speed City. I have a 65 Plymouth from them on the shelf waiting for its turn on the bench. As always thanks for looking.
DON-T2 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I have the speed city version on my shelf also, my biggest problem is the front and rear glass. What did you use for them.I have an original built kit and don't really want to pop the windows out of it.Great looking build
caine440 Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 (edited) On the Ramchargers car which is a Speed City casting I made my own windshield with .010 clear sheets. The back glass I think came from a 64 Dodge kit. I was lazy on the Landy car and ordered the glass from modelhaus. Edited August 3, 2013 by caine440
Big Daddy Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Great job on it , i love the AWB cars, i got my 65 coronet in the mail from speed city today, i only wish all my order would have came Ramchargers are my next 2 projects

Nitrozilla Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Beautiful work Roger. My Mazmanian build kicked me too. Wish I'd had a resin body for it.
flatheadgary Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 looks great!! i loved the awb days. Landys '66 dart was my favorite. could you tell me where you got the decals for this.
caine440 Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) Decals are from Slixx on the same sheet as the Dart Pro Stocker. His 66 Dart is on my list. Thanks! Edited August 3, 2013 by caine440

caine440 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 Thank you all for the kind words. I have been wanting to build this one ever since I rejoined the hobby. Just needed to get my skill level up before tackling it. Next is a Resin 68 Barracuda Sox & Martin car and a OOB 67 Sox GTX.
nitro_force_fan Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Great job on it! I did the same car last winter and man what a pain in the butt! A lot of work involved in those resin bodies! Looks great! Edited September 1, 2013 by nitro_force_fan
