You can still close (lock) the thread. That usually lets folks know you are no longer in need of parts.

too bad (for me). i am embarassed that i participated in what i thought was a jocular thread recently. it turned into a real pigpile and finally someone had the good sense to lock it.

all i was able to do was remove my (unquoted) comments.

guess that's how it goes sometimes ......

I'd like to delete some of my posts, the ones I have had answered and are no longer relevant, how do I do that.

Shouldn't we have a FAQ topic for just these types of questions?

1. PM Casey or Harry with links to the threads you started that you want deleted.

OR

2. If you started the threads, you can lock them. You can't delete them yourself.

They might be relevant to someone else though looking for info like you once was for something.

Lock it and it will eventually go down the pages. Click on your topic, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on topic moderation, lock and you're done. We used to be able to delete our own topics until the forum change.

Richard,

On every post you will see a greyish "<" symbol in the header bar, Click that symbol, then copy (control or command C) the link, then PM me the link, and I can delete the posts for you.
