Bullit on a Budget II MPG

This the 2nd in a series of, "what if the gas crisis happened when they filmed Bullit the movie". My 1st was a Maverick and this one is AMT's 74 Pinto. The Pinto was paint with the same Dupli-color Dark Metallic Green and four coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. Interior was done in semi gloss black. Now I'll have to find a Fiesta.

Nice Pinto. I almost hate to admit it but mt first brand new car was a Pinto. That was back in 1972. I bought a brand new custom painted panel Pinto in 1978. They were actually pretty good and reliable cars.

Truthfully, my 72 was hit hard in the rear while I was at a stop light. No " Kaboom ! "

Very sharp and cool looking pinto. l like them all lined up also. You could do a mustang ll also..

Chris, I won this one on evil bay for $50.00 last Thursday and it arrived on Tuesday, another quick build. I couldn't believe how hard a Pinto kit was to find. Carl a Mustang II is a good idea and they're easy to find. Thanks guy for the nice comments. BTW the newer Mustang in the picture is a 1:18 Autoart Bullit.

Very cool! I had thought of doing an eighties version using a Ford EXP and a Dodge Omni. Even bought the kits but never followed through with it.

Thanks guys!!! I just picked up an 89 Ford Probe which will be my next in the series. It arrives next Thursday, so it should be done by Saturday. Anybody want to part with a Revell Escort for #4???

Great Pinto. Ironically, I always though that a Mustang II would look good in a Bullitt theme.
