Chuck Most Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Built from the AMT Phantom, and painted in colors similar to a Matchbox Baja van I had as a kid. The wheels and tires came from a '66 Riv, and the side mirrors are from a Courier. Other than that it's box stock.
Austin T Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Nice job Chuck. I also remember that same Matchbox from my childhood, now I have to go dig it out.
slusher Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Super nice build Chuck, l do like those wheels. Very nice work...
Eshaver Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Chuck, I have NEVER understood anyone that would drive a van of any kind wiff dem "Suicide Mirrors ". Yeah, I used to sell fiberglass covers that fit over them. I have them on my 78 Ford Stepside . Soon as I can get a free day, They're going BYE BYE ! I finally found a complete set of Ford manufactured "Below Eye level mirrors " I'm tired of squinting every time I'm backing a trailer into the drive with them on the truck . I like the color on the van .................
crazyjim Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Nice build. I have 2 of those kits now since they were on clearance at Hobby Lobby. I'm thinking maybe a "shorty" van and then using the cutoffs to make a long one with double axles in the rear.
Guest Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Nice looking van Chuck! Those wheels from the Riviera really suit it! I've got four or five van kits that I really need to get to some time.
bbowser Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Nice! I drove one of these Econolines for years as an installer, tough trucks. Yours looks very cool.
