crazyjim Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Just completed is this '66 Chevy SS396 in Duplicolor bahama blue. I wanted it little different from the kit so I put on dual quads and massaged the exhaust. This is also the first time putting BMF down before the clearcoat. I think I like this way better.
cobraman Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Very nice build Jim. I like the color and the detail and it looks like great BMF work. All in all a very nice build.
Helix Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Nice work Jim, reminds me of the one I built last year, such a nice kit! Love your engine detail Edited September 23, 2013 by Helix

TooOld Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 One of my favorite Impalas of all time . You did a beautiful job and it looks perfect in Bahama Blue ! What kind of clear did you use ? Every one I've tried dulls the BMF .
crazyjim Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 Thanks Bob. I use Nason 2 part urethane clear.
crazyjim Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 Thanks, Lee. But come on. I've had the wheels for quite a while. They came from the Bartster and I wanted to use them.
realgone58 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Looks good Jim. Nice paint and engine detail.
Skydime Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Sharp ride! Are those the Boyd Whittiers from the Chezoom kit? I had something very similar on my 1:1 87 S10. Edited September 24, 2013 by Skydime
crazyjim Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Thank you fellas. I believe you are correct, Ken. I replaced the tires with Pegasus pieces.
