Nick Winter Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Bought from a friends collection after he passed away, was already painted but that was when the kit first came out (and Colin only painted the body shell, hood & trunk lid) so I had to match everything and polish out what was already painted, then I foiled and did the rest of it. The corvette wheels and tacky steering wheel had to go............So I grabbed a '67 Vette steering wheel and some Monogram slotted mags. Added power steering & a better alternator to the kits modern big block. (yeah the firing order is correct LOL) Interior is flocked, wanted the dash too look more modern, so more chrome was added and parts box gauge decals, some PE doo-dads (air freshener, keys & fob, sunglasses). I think that's about it, ohh, took it to a show yesterday after finishing it Friday night and was quite surprised to win 1st in Street Machines with it (I still think the Myers Manix should have won) But officer I was definitely speeding, doesn't honesty count for anything anymore Oh, the hood does sit level and proper but I've noticed it has to be pushed down just right to do so (kinda like the real ones sometimes) Nick
