slusher Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Anything can be called art but still does not mean that it is..Junk is Junk..
Deathgoblin Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I saw an "art" car one time on the freeway that was covered nose to tail in 5 1/4" floppy disks. They were about half glued on and flapped in the wind. Dumbest thing I ever saw.
Russell C Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I favor "dust art" cars, being that it takes a bit more talent to create one.....
Skydime Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) What I want to know is, A) How many hits they get on that website printed on the car, just from seeing it. How many of the previous readers of this thread actually went there too? EDIT Oh and C) Does this poor Honda not know it will never be a Volkswagen? Edited September 27, 2013 by Skydime
Kris Morgan Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Great, now everyone knows my car (LOL) Just kidding.
Skydime Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 A good reason to shop at Lowes Yeah, he could have purchased wood for a speaker box, primer for the body, mesh for the grille, rubber trim for a lip, toggle switches for accessories, pretty much anything but all those toys.

They were about half glued on and flapped in the wind. Dumbest thing I ever saw. Maybe he mistook someone that told him his lug bolt spacing was 51/4. "You need to get some of those spinning discs on there. I think yours is 5 1/4 pattern." And in that case, floppy disks wouldn't be his worst problem. Edited September 27, 2013 by Skydime

ChrisBcritter Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) OK, I'll confess - I worked on a couple art cars. Back in the mid '80s the L.A. County Museum of Art hosted a party where everybody could glue various items all over a '76 Cutlass sedan (they must have gotten donations from every junky import store in downtown L.A.). Meanwhile a couple other guys were attaching a forties International big truck grille/hood to the trunk. It looked about as bad as it sounds. The other time was when several friends and I glued over 22,000 1" square mirror tiles all over a '71 Pinto, because making a disco ball out of a Pinto at least makes sense, kind of. PappyD340 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Someone's idea of art, my idea of a deranged mind, that's screaming for HELP!!
JollySipper Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Actually, whoever did the airbrush on the car did a pretty good job (I like the techni-color frog on the fender...)
KingSix Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 A good reason to shop at Lowes nope, they sponsor Jimmie Johnson, won't do it
