mikemodeler Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 In going through the Modelhaus pictures Tom Kren posted in the Resin section, I saw the Shasta trailer and have wondered if anyone has built it? I am thinking about ordering one but wanted to know what others thought. I have no problem with the price as I know the quality of the Modelhaus product. Is it detailed on the inside or not? I have a resin R&R 72 Chevy Suburban that I was going to build to mate it up with.
1930fordpickup Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 No inside detail. Just the outside shell. The picture Tom posted show you all you need to see with the outside.
Longbox55 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I have one, haven't built it yet. Very nice piece. As noted, no interior, but the widows, other than the ones at the very front, are really too small for any details to be seen from the outside.
mikemodeler Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks guys, I will have to save my allowance (ha ha!) and order one of these up next month! Too many packages showing up lately, and my birthday and Christmas are 3 days apart so I can't tell the wife!
Rob Hall Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 It looks like a neat kit from what I've seen.. I think I'll get one with a Modelhaus '57 Plymouth wagon or '59 Ford wagon to tow it.
dimaxion Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Im scratch built this same model . I did not get the windows quite right . I modified the plans with a Funnace / stove (cooking unit) using Fuel Oil instead of Propane . Mine depicts an much older version . I have seen the Modelhaus version . The Windows are better then mine . The interior is easy . Curtains . Anything Modelhaus , I highly reccomend . Thanx ...
MAGNUM4342 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 If it's from Don Holthaus, the quality will be like an injection molded kit. You will not be disappointed.
