berr13 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Job well done!! The paint is outstanding, and you also did some really nice work on the grill. Where in the aftermarket did you get the carbs? They look like the parts in the Revell Thunderbolt, and I don't want to rob mine...
Bluemiles22 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Not a problem. Couple pics of the engine, I have to find a better looking oil filler tube the one in the kit is too big so I left it off, also have to reattach the master cylinder. The carbs came from MAD, they are the same as the ones in the tbolt kit but these have better detail.
Harry P. Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Not to be a wise guy, but seriously I'm curious what's going on there with the upper radiator hose? It looks like there are two separate hose connections, and one is "empty."

The empty hole is where the oil filler tube goes.

Danno Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Oooooooh... Thanks. N/P. As ALF would love to say, "I just got Lucky!"
Speedfreak Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) I still remember the first time I saw a 409 Chevy sitting in the parking lot , '62 with my Dad on the way in to an A's game 'before' they were in Oakland. Now there's some history! Even as an eight year old I knew that cars purpose was not to go pick-up milk at the grocer, menacing it was. Beautiful build! Edited October 16, 2013 by Speedfreak
