Tim Pentecost Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 (edited) Here are some pics I have of a Turboniques Mustang I did. I do have some construction pics that I can post if anyone would like to see such an animal. TimP Edited July 16, 2008 by Tim Pentecost
dub Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 VERY COOL! I have seen pictures of this in the magazines and I am glad to see it here so I can get a better look at it. This isn't the device that Jairus' post is about, but I thought it was. How does the 1:1 engine work? It's something I've been trying to figure out. Where does the combustion happen? Sorry for the Q's about the 1:1, but I've never seen one of these.
Dave D Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Now there is something you don't see every day. That is neat !
Tim Pentecost Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 If you will give me a snail mail address, I will make copies of the magazine articles I have and will send them to you. Would that work for ya? That way you'll have the entire history of the product and how they work. TimP

TimKustom Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Hey Tim, How 'bout scanning those articles and hosting them so we all could see. I've got a major thing for Turboniques. Got some ideas for a future project powered by one.
dub Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Check out these sites... http://www.almar.easynet.be/turbonique.htm http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/2006/..._real_acme.html Thank you! These explain everything. Crazy indeed! This is yet another thing that proves I was born 20 years too late.

mr moto Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 That's amazing! All the more so because I remember seeing those ads in car magazines many years ago. I didn't know if they really worked or if that was just a fly-by-night scam. Back in those days there wasn't always that much difference between the two! If it was real, I reasoned, why wasn't everybody using them? I must have been as whacko as everybody else!
RatRod Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I remember seeing those in the magazines back when I was a kid too!!! Always thought they were kinda weird, but what a great build subject!!! Awesome job Tim, and thanks for the memories!!!
