mikemopar70 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) Hi folk's Here's my latest, waiting to complete my 1968 Biscayne (bumpers to be chromed). I started this one about 10 years ago, when Pro-Modeler released the Daytona! I decided to complete it, since it was almost finished. I went to a few problems in the works during the build, but decided to complete it as is (and still missing the side view mirror!) It's been done with a combination of the Daytona and the R/T with the MPC 500 grille. Thank's for watching! Edited October 20, 2013 by mikemopar70
Speedfreak Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Beautiful car Michel. One of my uncles had a '70 R/T (bought new) when I was a kid, love these cars!
Scuderia Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 That's a great color and really sharp build congrats.
Erik Smith Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 10 years? Not bad turn around. Nice looking model. Great work.
Nick Winter Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Beautiful Build, I'm a sucker for a Mopar in F8 Green.
Chris White Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 beautiful build, great good on the follow thru. I heard some people build this stuff in 24 hours. Your quality of work, makes it worth the wait.
peekay Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Very nice, love the colour choices and the engine bay is very convincing.
mikemopar70 Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Thank's everybody for comments... Soon to show another Mopar!! See ya!
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Very nice. I would like to see some photos of how you combined the R/T grille with the MPC Charger 500 part.
mikemopar70 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Very nice. I would like to see some photos of how you combined the R/T grille with the MPC Charger 500 part. I'm sorry, i don't have any pics of that WIP, since it's about ten years old and i didn't have a numeric camera at the time.. But i can tell you how i did it, i just took the 1969 R/T grille and bumper, i carefully removed all the grilles and divider to keep only the surrounding(if only the 1968 was released at the time, it would have been easier since it doesn't have the center divider) and i cut the grille from the MPC bumper and trim it to fit on the Revell opening.. Simple as this, it only took a few minutes of work, and i sent it to chrome. Thank's for the comments..
Yahshu Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Very nice work. Keith Marks has the 500 tail stripe for this.
Danno Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Very nice model. Love the color! Muuuuuuch better than orange.
