Ira Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 WHAT IF? What if you mounted the Tie Wings differently? I have had several requests t show the Jedi Tie Wing Racer with the wings reversed. Here are a few photos of one way it could be done... Another View, this one showing the Side Vision Problem... You could also mount the Tie Wings upright and attach them to the X-Wing sides, this would take care of the side vision problem... More Coming...

Ira Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 MORE COLOR-LESS SHINE! I painted the Silver details with a Silver Marking Pen. Then I did a little touch up with Silver paint and a brush. Next I added some color to the body. I hand painted the Red and Black stripes using masking tape to keep the lines straight. That worked pretty good but I did get some paint coming under the tape in a few places. So I used some of the Flat Yellow and painted over the mistakes. Then I sprayed the Wings with Testors Dullcoat. Next I sprayed the body parts with Dullcoat. More Coming...
mustang1989 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 It's lookin' good Ira! The complex paint and techniques are really giving this thing a good look!
Ira Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 METAL MESH! I bought this Metal Mesh at a Crafts Store. It comes in many styles and colors. I cut a piece and glued it into the Hyperspace Supercharger. I also cut some Metal Mesh to fit the underside of the body. Extra Mesh on the sides so I could glue it easier. Zap-A-Gap Glue and Baking Powder were used to hold the Mesh in place. Here is the Hyperdrive Supercharger with the Mesh in place. Here is the underside with the Mesh glued in place. More Coming...
Ira Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 GLUEING IT TOGETHER NOW! I glued the Wings and Body Halves together with Zap-A-Gap. Here it is mounted on Piano Wire. Rear View. The Hyperdrive Supercharger isn't glued in place yet. More Coming...
