this will be a future project that I want your input from. just got the kit today and I know which direction its going, a drag car of course but I couldn't decide on wheels. I thought id try maybe the semi sleeper look by keeping the stock fronts and stock hubcaps on some meats in the back. also I thought stock fronts and some slots in the rear, I have other wheel options like torque thrust II's and centerlines, etc but I thought Id stray from the popular wheel choices and see what you guys thought about this.

heres the stock setup

An interesting project for sure, my dad owns a '60 Impala Coupe (Since 1987) and I have always liked the car. I'd go with the original steel wheels, but leave those hubcaps away. They'd fly around while racing, I guess. Or then Chrome Reverses in the back and regular Steelies in the front. Also the little nose up stance looks excellent.

l have to agree with Niko on this Jason. He is a great builder. l will say a 60 chevy will make a great looking drag car. They have beautiful lines..

Yep I also have to agree with the general concensus here, I really like the gasser look and I like the rear wheel choice but I would change the stock hub caps for some steel wheels, a buddy of mine had a 60 that was white it was a nice ride, hope this helps Jason!! :D

Era. That's the factor.

The year /years you want to depict.

That determines the wheels.

The first car I EVER paid for/bought...was a '60 Impala.

$500 bucks. Bank note Co-signed by my Dad. 1975.

White, with a black "rolled an' tucked" interior.

283 "Fow barrel".

Musta' weighed 3 tons.

Chrome reverse wheels. But that's 1975 era.

I dug through the wheel box and found some cragers, reversed chrome steel, and some regular steel wheels. I think the cragers all the way around or the crager fronts and reversed rears look pretty good.

I agree that the Cragers look good, but I think you're going to have to give up on the sleeper look. This thing just looks way to serious with all that meat in the rear. :)

With the combination of Chrome Reverses and that stance in the second last picture it'd be perfect. It looks very good with Cragars, too. That stance reminds of those old Stockers, which is why it looks so good. This is going to be awesome.
