If you want light bars like seen on wreckers and emergency vehicles, Google "Dave Panek". All of his bars are custom made. He does a wide variety and his quality is top notch!

David

Guys,

I contacted Dave back in June and am still waiting for a response. I even sent him some images of what I was looking for. A couple of unanswered emails later and either he is busy with life or has forgotten about me.

It sure would be nice to have some simple light bars for service vehicles.

It was. Should still be.

But very difficult to work with as air bubbles will show

Much more in clear than none-transparent resins.

And, actually, that MX Is a decent lightbar for a towtruck.

It can be painted as an All light bar.

You can also look at the Code3 bars in the Ecto-1A kit.

That one also has a Whelan Edge bar, but is a single chrome piece.

Find Early Jo-Han police Fury, or the Yodel Monaco/Fury

and use the twin rotator rack with a Spot light in the center.

Tint the dome caps Amber/yellow.

(Early issued of the Jo-Han kit have Painted red & blue lenses,

so you can strip them to clear!!)

MPC's 70-74 Annual 1/20 Ford Econoline van kit had a Gumball too,

and actually closer to 1/25 scale than 1/20

(Or a Very Small one) with a Clear cap

Both the Midnite Cowby, and recently re-issued 77 Chevy/GMC Snap tow truck

have a Twinsonic type lightbar

The soon to be re-issued "Cop Out" Duster funny car has a Mars twin rotator

light rack that can also be used. Dome caps or lens surfaces of rotator lamps can be painted/tinted amber

rear of double ended flashers on th erack between rotators and Siren speaker location

can be done in amber front and red for brake lights, or white for Spot lights/scene lights

to the rear.

The Streethawk from Revell's 90-91 Caprice can also be used.

Any Emergency lightbar/light can be used!

Just paint/tint the cap(s) or lenses Amber.

Especially After 65 or so.

Unless you are building a Police or Fire Department piece.

Then they Can have red or Blue lights

AND Sirens!!!

Look at LA City Fire for proof of that!!!

AMT's up coming Rescue issue of the Chevy van should include Amber flasher domes.

The original issue did!!

Same are in most AMT Semi kits now!!!

Is that enough info/ideas for now??
