chevyfever2009 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) Heres a deal for a nascar fan that also likes other cars http://www.ebay.com/itm/141111779324?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Edited November 11, 2013 by chevyfever2009
tabsscale1 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 The shipping will be way to much... He does state that the shipping of $200 from UPS is what he is going to charge and anything over that he will pay
pharoah Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Like I don't have too many already. With my luck,a lot of them would turn out to be 80's and 90's Nascar kits...
Mark Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I like the "Jo-Han" in the description...I didn't look too long, but there aren't many, if any, Jo-Han pieces in there. Most of the NASCAR stuff isn't even worth shipping. I've seen guys at shows putting them out at $2 apiece, and still taking some home at days' end. If you were close enough to pick them up, and you set up at shows, it might be borderline worthwhile. It's strange to see that '50 Olds custom kit in there...I only saw that around here for the first time about a week ago.
Edsel-Dan Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Only Jo-Han I saw was a re-issue of th e64 Petty Belvedere. I did see a few I liked. 2 Different Vega, a Pinto. But, Most are Very recent issues/re-issues
Zarana-X Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Not anymore it isn't! I'd like about 10 of thsoe kits, maybe another 6 I know I coudl use for customizing.I'd think you'd have a hard time giving away Nascar Lumina kits. then again, the engines and tires are good for something.
lordairgtar Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 The two Eldon kits are quite rare....bath tub and milk truck.
Darren B Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 It will be a steal for whoever wins the auction, unless it goes up by other people bidding, (which usually happens) if not then hes gonna spend $630.00 plus for shipping, how many can fit in a good sized box, and there is 320 of them, I really think the seller is not gonna be making any money at all, unless it goes way above 1200.00 ending bid................just my opinion from selling and shipping multiple kits in the past, $200.00 divided by 320 kits = .625 or in other words each kit has .63 cents for shipping, each kit! even if he can get 12 in a large box that box could cost depending on the location of the person winning the auction at least $12.00 economy if he can find that somewhere. I have shipped kits as much as 6 in a box but usps was 18.00 economy, not to keep running on here, just do not see it making any money if it closes at 630.00. Seller has 100 percent feedback after 768 transactions so hes a man of his word. but to keep that up to 100 percent hell have to eat any cost in shipping over $200.00. risky i say.....
Erik Smith Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Looks like someone just getting rid of a collection rather than maximizing profit... About 1/3 of the collection is worthless - NASCAR stuff - I counted over 100. There are about 11 kits that are worth some money - the rest are new, currently available kits. As of today, 630 + 200 = 830/320 = $2.59 per kit (or, take out all the NASCAR stuff…830/220=3.77 per kit - still a really good deal) Count on some damage when that many kits are boxed and shipped, too.
