Erik Smith Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Overall casting is very well done. I really like the clean inside - thinned around the window openings -
charlie8575 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Definitely sold one more. Thank you, Erik! Charlie Larkin
Erik Smith Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) I forgot, one more photo - front bucket, back seat, and cargo area The photo above the instruction sheet shows the detail on the back of the rear seat. Edited December 11, 2013 by Erik Smith
mrknowetall Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Excellent look-see, and thanks! I'm waiting patiently for mine to arrive. I'm also waiting not-so-patiently for Revell's Merc woody wagon.
Brett Barrow Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 BAH!!!! Now I want one too!!! Thanks for the look at the contents, it's always refreshing to see a resin conversion with an instruction sheet!!!
mrknowetall Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 BAH!!!! Now I want one too!!! Thanks for the look at the contents, it's always refreshing to see a resin conversion with an instruction sheet!!! You always want what I buy! Ante up! Buy one now!
Brett Barrow Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 You always want what I buy! Ante up! Buy one now! I think you got that backwards... Lemme see how much OPM I get for Christmas.
mrknowetall Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Lemme see how much OPM I get for Christmas. He means Other People's Money (OPM)! Always a great Christmas gift!
Muncie Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 more possibilities... It could be used to build a Chevrolet. The main body unit on GM staion wagons from the firewall back is basically the same for both Oldsmobile and Chevrolet. I've seen a Chevy wagon donate it's body for an Oldsmobile project.
khier Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 more possibilities... It could be used to build a Chevrolet. The main body unit on GM staion wagons from the firewall back is basically the same for both Oldsmobile and Chevrolet. I've seen a Chevy wagon donate it's body for an Oldsmobile project. There is a slight problem. The wood trim differs slightly between the '50 and '51 wagons. AMT's Chevy is a '51, while the wagon body (and the wood trim around the window) represnts the '50 version, or did I make a mistake here?
Tom Geiger Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I just got an email from Michael that mine will ship today!

ChrisR Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Nice conversion, just a pity he won't ship outside the US.
ChrisR Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I just got an email from Michael that mine will ship today! Pity he does not ship to South Africa!
Tom Geiger Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Mine arrived this morning! Nice looking wagon! Darn! He promised me he wouldn't send you one! Mine also arrived. Do you feel a Dondi / Thomm build off coming on??
mrknowetall Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Darn! He promised me he wouldn't send you one! Mine also arrived. Do you feel a Dondi / Thomm build off coming on?? Could be.
Muncie Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Wow, ordered two last week with a money order and they arrived today - awesomely quick service. very well packed - good first impression - I like that. The castings are absolutely gorgeous and will fit the chassis that I'm going to use - it's a good day and these will be fun to build. highly recommended without hesitation
charlie8575 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I wish one of the jobs I've applied for would hurry up and hire me; I really want to get one of these and the '49 conversion. everything is very nicely done. Charlie Larkin
