cartpix Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) This is my first post, that isn't a reply. After reading a topic, about detail Hell, I decided to build something less detailed, than the several kits I've stall on, because of detail Hell. I pulled out a Revell 67 Dodge Charger, from my stash, & went to work. I also decided to experiment with light weathering. Here's what I have, so far. Comments & criticisms are welcomed. Red interior Lightly weathered chassis Hemi with plug wires & fuel lines... ...that get covered with the air cleaner Kit Cragars with kit front tires & parts box rears Close up. if you look close, to the right of 12 o'clock, you can see the valve stem, I made of stretched sprue Misc parts Edited November 29, 2013 by cartpix
cartpix Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks Kyle If it doesn't rain, tomorrow, I'm going to try to get some paint, on the body. It will be Silver, btw. Jeff

PappyD340 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Real NICE start Jeff, don't know what the exterior color is going to be, but when I was about 13 our neighbor across the street had 67 Charger with a Hemi and it was white with red interior man that thing was sharp and it would light up the rear tires in a heartbeat, ahhh those were the days!!!
MyBradKeselowski Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Great details, I like what I see thus far..
cartpix Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 Thanks for all the comments. PappyD340, it will be German Metallic Silver. I was going to paint it, yesterday, but it rained. The weather looks good, today, so I'm hoping to get some color color, on it, today.
cartpix Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 I got some color, on it, today. Unfortunately, I also got some crud, in the color. I will let it cure, color sand it, & lay down another coat or 2.

IMPALA SS 427 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Its looking really nice, for a less detailed build its looking pretty detailed to me so far. I will be watching.
freshawk Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I have this bad Larry on the bench as well. how is the kit going together for you so far Jeff?
cartpix Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 Its looking really nice, for a less detailed build its looking pretty detailed to me so far. I will be watching. I know, right? But I didn't cut up the chassis, to add huge tires, scratch build a roll cage, aftermarket goo gaws, etc. I did stop myself from cutting the back seats, to have them folded down, like a picture, I saw on Google. It did look cool, though. LOL I have this bad Larry on the bench as well. how is the kit going together for you so far Jeff? It's a nice kit. Everything fits, no flash, & parting lines weren't too bad. Typical, newer Revell kit.
cartpix Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 nice colortheme with the red and silver !! Thanks. It's not real common but it really pops. Jeff
cartpix Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 I assembled the chassis & interior, while waiting for painting weather. Here's some pix. Assembled interior Bottom of interior flocked & foiled interior interior with dash Jeff
