Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 This was a lost project from a few years ago that I managed to get back last year... Was missing a lot of parts and thanks to a friend on Facebook, I got the parts I needed... I originally chopped it, so I had to go and reinforce the chop and fill the lines in... New door lines will be scribed in, and I have a motor for this as well...
PappyD340 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 OOOOOH that's going to be NICE James, I like the look already!!
hack-n-whack Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 That is cool. The look is timeless. Your choice of wheels and tires really set it off! Very nice!
HondaSan72 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Digging the chop top... Looking good so far!!
RAT-T Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 DO YOU REMEMBER HOW MUCH IT'S CHOPPED? IT LOOKS AWESOME!
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Oh yes. Perfect amount of chop and drop. Very nice lines on this one. Nice thing about the '40 front fenders is that you can go that low and still actually steer.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Thanks guys... Started fabbing a dash.... And might use these seats... Still debating on a motor... I mean, what kind to use... And ill probably go with the mags on whites...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 I have no idea how much I chopped it... I usually just eyeball things and usually that works for me lol
slammedi'am Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Looking good man...Cant wait to see some color on it
slusher Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Sweet project James. Very nice work on the chop.
DrKerry Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Nice, I did one a few years back. Always loved the 39-40 Fords!!!!
DrKerry Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I used the 37 Ford suspension under mine and chopped it about the same as you did. I also have a forward flipped hood and grille assembly on mine. Can't wait to see what you do on yours. The look is right and stance is perfect!!!!
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Thanks Kerry... I would love to see some pics of yours
DrKerry Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I'll have to update my folder. It doesn't have shots of it finished but here are some of the build pics to give you an idea.... http://s2.photobucket.com/user/drkerry/library/#/user/drkerry/library/Hopperstads%2040?sort=2&page=1&_suid=138626710670502499192807158977
DrKerry Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I used Prowler wheels and railer to tow behind, 37 Ford suspension, 67 Impala injected engine, forward flip hood/grille, chopped top, opening doors, Jaguar XJ220 seats.....
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 That's is too cool bro! I love it!
DrKerry Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Thanks James, it's an oldie but a goodie now, did it probably ten years ago...
