jsc Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Great looking lift! Push bar looks good to me, but you're right, the roll bar is a bit undersized
disabled modeler Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I like it!...thought about doing one of these as a 4x4 but factory stock all around.
mikemodeler Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I started playing around with an AMT 60 Chevy conversion to 4WD last week. Will be watching this closely, might have to create my own axles and leaf springs instead of using the axles out of the Revell 77 GMC pickup.

mikemodeler Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 i find when you lift them big, the stock leafs just look to small in my eye, & then you dont need massive drop brackets. how much lift are you putting in your '60? stock or up a bit? got a little more work done on it. added some plug wires & heater hoses, steering gear, tie rod & stabilizer are in, axle vents. still got brake lines & i've decided to build an old skool look canopy for it 320_opt.jpg323_opt.jpg314_opt.jpg316_opt.jpg319_opt.jpg Good points there Dan. I was planning on going about stock height and keeping the straight six, maybe add the plow from the 77 GMC kit, weather it a bit.
BenDover78 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I'm working on a 65 Chevy 4x4 right now. I plan on using a pair of the 77 GMC axles and scratch building some leaf springs for them.

Armornv Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 That truck is the cat's behind man! I never imagined that body style would so good lifted like that. Well done.
BenDover78 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 If I was basing it off real measurements I would say about a 3-6 inch lift with a set of 35's. I like the canopy you got on there, that was a option from GM to put on your pickups.
