drodg Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I started this car a few years ago when I had my 1968 Charger 1:1 car and wanted to replicate it. I have since sold the Charger (sad) it was an 38000 mile survivor, but finishing up the model this week. I need to do some correcting on the chassis / body fit and attach the rear bumper but overall I am about finished. This is an orginal 1968 Charger MPC kit. If you have built one you know they are not entirely accurate. The roof panel has the incorrect emblem behind the Charger signature that is not on the 1:1 car and the interior has an incorrect console. The stripes and side markers are from Keith Mark's decals. I used the orignal white paint from MCW Paints for a 1968 Dodge and tried to replicate a closer finish to my 68 Charger so I did not use clear coat. It polishes out very well. Thanks for looking
drodg Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Sorry about the lousy pictures from my phone. I have a new camera and took pictures with it but they were too large to download. Thanks
TFchronos Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Very nice indeed, you did a fantastic job with it.
drodg Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 I will post a few more pictures with my camera now that I have it figured out. Thanks
drodg Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks everyone. Here is a picture of my original car in about 2008.
bbowser Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Very cool. I love it when someone builds a replica of a 1:1 they once owned.
