My dad had a 72 Olds Cutlass 442 when he met my mom. His car was a hardtop and it was not a W-30 (It was a W-32, though). What kits should I use to build it? Revell 72 Cutlass Convertible with roof from the AMT 69 Hurst Olds? Dad's car did have a 455 (not stock) so I don't have to worry about engine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ron Hamilton built one when that kit first came out. I think he did a formal roof though. Maybe he'll chime in at some point. If he doesn't, just send him a PM.

Sounds like the original post was looking for a regular hardtop rather than the formal "Supreme" style- JoHan made a '72 as well as their more commonly found '70 442- and the '72 specific parts available in resin -Maybe can be kitbashed with some better detailed stuff from the Revell ?

The JoHan body seems to make a nice looking 442

Just buy the Johan 70 442 kit and the resin 72 hood and bumpers.

^^ Your best option for building the fastback hardtop right now. Only a formal roof hardtop body is available in resin currently.
