okay hi im new to this forum and I would like some help. im not real big into building just yet, im still in my senior year for highschool. but ive built a few cars here and there. I was looking for two things. the first one is a dodge neon kit. any scale. must be a four door. I cant find them anywhere so if anyone knows where I could get one please let me know. also for my dads birthday he used to build model cars. recently we bought a real trans am and we picked it up in new York. if I could find a truck trailer and car that I could make look like what we had that would be so cool. we took a single cab 2008 chevy 2500 and a open trailer. the car is a 1979 trans am, but it was in rough condition so id like to make it look like it did when we picked it up. the pictures are of the truck trailer and car, and then my friends neon. any help on where to find the cars, also if anyone knows where I could get mini fog lights that are on the neon and any tips at all that could help me would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much!

Not knowing what year Neon you are looking for is a problem. They never made a kit of one, but there was a promo model of the first series Neon. There are car kits with trailers that you can modify to look like the one under your Trans Am. There are no 2008 Chevy Trucks that I ever seen, but there may be a toy that can be used. 1999 is the earliest kit I can think off for the truck. There are 79 Trans Am kits, though.

The Brookfield Collector's Guild Neon sedan promos are the only choice for a '95-'99 model. They are nicely done, though they don't have opening hoods and the underside is one simplified piece. They were made in multiple colors (and in coupe form, too), and can usually be found on eBay and over at http://forums.neons.org/ in the Swap section for about $20-$35 each.

The 1/24 Revell race car trailer is the closest to what's pictured, but you'll need to do some modifying.

The last reissue of the AMT TA kit should work well for your 79...79 to 81 look the same. I use to own a 75 TA...miss that car and kits of it are very hard to find and expensive...your lucky yours is a 79....welcome to the forum.

There may be a resin Neon out there from somebody. Revell made a '99 Chevrolet X-Cab pickup. You could try shortening the cab and frame or look for a resin conversion. MPC made a '79 10th Anniv. Trans Am. For the trailer you can check the many racing kits, or look for AMT's '79 Chevrolet Caprice. It had a two axle trailer in it. This kit is popular with Low Rider Modelers. and I bet they would be glad to help you on the trailer. Please keep posting your progress.
