DriftingRookie Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 lost the door inner pieces, they grew legs and walked off. just a little irritated
Erik Smith Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I like what i see so far.... I am 0 for 2 with the CB CBP. I will hold off for a little bit, finish up a couple projects, and try to get something going. I will combine my club's muscle car theme into the build and, like Rob, kill two birds with only one stone.
Zarana-X Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Not sure if I'm supposed to wait for a formal acknowledgement, but here's what I'm starting with: Plan is some bigger tires, rear spoiler, maybe, driving lights, and interior clutter and stuff you would find in the backseat during a road trip.
001slick001 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I started building a 4 link rear suspension on my build.
Pat Minarick Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I think I'm going to build a '56 Chevy too.
RodneyBad Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I got the chassis fitting the body. O yaa, that is looking Just right.. Gonna be hard to beat your Duster tho..
Speedfreak Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Wow, this is getting interesting, some really cool builds going on. I haven't started mine yet because of a current build I'm trying to get finished. Hopefully that will be soon, lol! Jason, that Datson should be really cool with what you say you're going to do.
Jantrix Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I got the chassis fitting the body. This reminds me of the Monza I did for the first Cannonball. Nice work!
Lunajammer Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Pat, I can only see some trimming around the edges. Does the nascar wheelbase fit the truck that perfectly or am I just not seeing some of your work?
Pat Minarick Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 This reminds me of the Monza I did for the first Cannonball. Nice work! Thanks Rob .

DriftingRookie Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks guys .This one will be a lot different from the Duster ,it will not be RED .But it will stand out with out being flashy probably another run for our money lol
TFchronos Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 That's shaping up to be a very nice truck Pat, can't wait to see what you have planned for the Nomad.

Roadkill2525 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Hasegawa Lancia Stratos, using the '75 San Remo winner kit.
DriftingRookie Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 got some music and my front bumper going under some cosmetic surgery and if I mess up, it's okay because I have a secondary that came with the kit. Will post pics soon
Pat Minarick Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Well this is the plan for my '56 Nomad ,if I can piece all back together again I stole the ideal from the latest RatRod magazine . It a '57 and I didn't want to copy it so i'm going with the '56 .
DriftingRookie Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 burnt through the grill, oh well at least I have a back up. What's an easy way to make black wash?
Jantrix Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Hasegawa Lancia Stratos, using the '75 San Remo winner kit. Great idea! Love those little cars! burnt through the grill, oh well at least I have a back up. What's an easy way to make black wash? Acrylic craft paint thinned with water. Were you using a moto-tool to do this? Edited January 9, 2014 by Jantrix
Lunajammer Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 The Torino gets a facelift fore and aft. At the rear I've lopped off a scale 6-inches and added a piece from my inherited parts box so I couldn't tell you what it's from. In the front I'm using the custom grill and lower chin from the 64 Chevelle wagon. Just had to slightly trim the sides to fit. The lower piece dropped in unchanged. Still need to re-nose the hood to fit the grill better. Giving it a fender treatment now so I'll have photos when it's ready to present.
