Mrdarkmonkey96
Saw it online for cheap the other day, and something told me it was a rare kit. . Any confirmation on this or am I just crazy?
Austin T
It's a pretty common kit. Look on the bay you can probably get them under 15 bucks. Now the actual truck itself is fairly uncommon from what I understand, didn't it have corvette internals? JunkPile
All Wheel Drive too. The real trucks were pretty quick, especially off of the line
Casey
Saw it online for cheap the other day, and something told me it was a rare kit. . Any confirmation on this or am I just crazy? Not rare at all. Can be had for less than $18.00 at my LHS.
Joe Handley
The kit is anything but rare, but the subject matter is. It had a turbocharged 4.3l V-6, 4 speed auto, and full time AWD. These would run with some very high dollar cars, let alone the Vette and Vipers on the 1/4 mile and 0-60 runs. They just looked like a custom wheeled, body kitted, and lowered GMC S-15 Sonoma until the driver launched it under boost, then itjust ran away from the vast majority of production cars of it's day and still can whoop up in some pretty potent modern cars too! Pro Wrench
I thought they had the turbocharged 3.8 that was in the Buick Grand National?

hgbben
I thought they had the turbocharged 3.8 that was in the Buick Grand National? Indeed it did
ChrisPflug
The Chevy 4.3 Turbo V6 used in the Syclone/ Typhoon was actually rated for more horsepower than the Buick V6 from the earlier Grand Nationals/ 20th Anniversary T/A - probably closer in output to the tweaked Buick GNX
